Ready to Attend our FAKTR courses? Here's what you need to know:

Typical Course Agenda:

FAKTR Rehab Course Agenda:

Saturday 8:30 am - 5:45pm (one hour lunch break)
Sunday 8:30am - 5:45pm

Doors will open for sign-in and setup at 7:30am on Saturday at 8:00am on Sunday.  Instructors will stay late on Saturday to answer questions and process any product orders and will arrive early on Sunday morning to do so.

What to Wear:

Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in - workout attire is best. Of course, bring warm clothing should the room be chilly.

GROOMING TIPS AND WARNINGS - SINCE THERE WILL BE A GREAT DEAL OF TAPING DONE IN BOTH THE FAKTR 2 AND FAKTR 3 COURSES, WE ENCOURAGE PARTICIPANTS TO TRIM BODY HAIR ACCODRINGLY--GUYS, THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE A BIT MORE "YETI-ESQUE"...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. ;)

SATURDAY - BE SURE YOU WEAR SOMETHING THAT WILL ALLOW ACCESS TO THE LOWER EXTREMITIES AS WELL AS THE CERVICAL AND LUMBAR SPINE.  FOR WOMEN SPORTS BRAS OR TANK TOPS ARE ALWAYS BEST.  YOU CAN ALWAYS BRING SHORTS FOR LOWER EXTREMITY WORK TO CHANGE INTO DURING COLD WEATHER.

SUNDAY - BE SURE YOU WEAR SOMETHING THAT ALLOWS ACCESS TO THE THORACIC SPINE AND SHOULDER (SPORTS BRAS, TANK TOPS, ETC).

If anyone has any medical condition that would be contraindicated for any form of treatment during class, you MUST let the instructor know before the hands-on portion of class begins. We will have a list of contraindications presented in class, PRIOR to any hands on work. Also, if you have a sensitivity to Latex, you MUST let us know. If you do not wish to expose body parts, please feel free to wear lycra or other tight fitting clothing, we can treat through materials, however, when possible, it is best to treat directly in contact with skin but that is certainly not a requirement to obtain results.

What to Study:

The class is 90% hands-on so there really won't be time for note-taking. All attendees will be sent than electronic copy of the course notes prior to class to review. We will have practitioners at all levels of skill and experience in the course and everyone will walk away with a clear understanding of the FAKTR concepts.

You will also receive these notes again immediately following the course on Monday morning.

We will have printed note packets available for a small fee prior to registration for select event dates.

What to Bring:

In most course locations, we ask that you bring a portable treatment table if you have one--this can be a portable chiropractic table, massage table or general therapy table.  If you are in a host facility that will be providig these tables for the class, you will be notified prior to attending.

We will provide all instruments, tape, FAKTR floss and emollient--if you have your own (non-FAKTR) instruments you wish to bring, feel free to do so...you are more than welcome. If you already own FAKTR instruments, we ask that you leave them at home so as not to get them mixed in with the other instruments used in class. Our sponsors will be providing all low-tech rehab equipment for the class...we will have loops, bands, stability pads, hand trainers, flex bars, physioballs, etc. If you have any others you'd like to bring, please feel free.

FOOD and WATER - We will have a one-hour lunch break on Saturday and will dismiss in time for lunch on Sunday. You are free to bring in any snack you like so that you can keep up your energy--this is a hands-on course, so prepare accordingly.  Some event dates have lunch provided and some do not--you'll receive this information in advance of the course date.

JACKET/LAYERS - At any given time it may be chilly in the classroom...please be sure to dress in layers or bring a jacket in case it gets chilly.  Our course involves a great deal of movement, so we will keep your blood flowing.

Next Steps after FAKTR Courses

There are three required components of becoming a FAKTR certified provider.

Attend an in-person 16hr course (you will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the class).

You must also complete the 12 hour online courseOnce registered, you receive lifetime access to the course content so that you can complete the course at your own pace and review the materials as many times as you wish.

Finally, you must pass the final exam at the conclusion of the online course (you will also receive a certificate of completion for this course).

Once you have successfully completed both the live course and the online course and exam, you can then submit your certificates of completion to events@sports-seminars.com to receive your FAKTR certified provider status and certificate.

These can be completed in any order and you always have the option of adding the FAKTR 12hr online course to your in-person course ticket at a deep discount.

This will allow you to use the FAKTR credentials, the FAKTR logo in your marketing and to be listed in the new FAKTR-certified provider directory.
